The Sydney Comets have announced the return of Flames guard Piper Anderson, for the upcoming NBL1 East season.

Riding the momentum of the 2024 season, where she averaged a valuable 11 points per game, Anderson was selected as a Flames development player for the WNBL25 season.

The NSW product then made her professional debut as Flame #230 against the Bendigo Spirit in round three of the WNBL25 competition.

The Comets junior was an important part of our Women’s inaugural NBL1 East final four campaign in 2023 and a major contributor to last season’s final eight appearance.

Her impressive resume also includes representing NSW at the Australian Championships and taking home the 2021 Waratah Youth League Rookie of the Year.
“I’m excited to be back with the Comets for my third season in a row,” Anderson said.

“We’ve got a good bunch of girls so looking forward to what’s ahead and super keen to see what we can achieve as a team under the leadership of Miles Bench.

“I’m ready to make this season one to remember.”

The 2025 NBL East season tips off in late March.
