Fire Favourite Courtney Woods Extends Contract Until 2026/27

The Townsville Fire are thrilled to announce that fan favourite Courtney Woods has signed a contract extension, committing to the club until the end of the2026/27 WNBL season.
Since joining the Fire in 2020 straight out of college, Woods has become an integral part of the team, embodying the club’s culture and values both on and off the court. A deadly shooter and a fierce competitor, she has played a key role in the Fire’s success over the past few seasons and continues to be a driving force within the squad.
Woods’ loyalty to the Fire is unmatched, having played her entire professional career with Townsville. Her commitment to the club and the Townsville community has cemented her status as one of the most beloved players at the club.
“I’m very thankful to continue my career in Townsville. This club has given me so much as a human and basketball player and I’m so proud to continue to be a part of this very special community, said Woods.”
