Team of the Week honours for Suzy

JCU Townsville Fire captain Suzy Batkovic has won selection in her sixth WNBL Team of the Week.
Fresh off being named the WNBL Player of the Month for December, the four-time league MVP starred in her 300th game as she finished with a game-high 23 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.

Despite the star-studded performance, it was not enough to secure the Fire victory as the UC Capitals snapped a five-game winning streak.
Joining Batkovic in the Team of the Week was Adelaide point guards Sam Logic and Leilani Mitchell, Dandenong power forward Ally Mallott and Capitals centre Mariana Tolo.

Batkovic returns to Townsville Stadium on Friday night for the Fire’s Hoops for Troops fixture against Bendigo.
The two-time reigning champions can snatch a top-four spot by defeating their arch-rivals, who fell to the Sydney Uni Flames last start.
The Fire host the Spirit from 7pm.
